Dr. Sameer Mansuri says he's perfectly happy to be blind.

And he has no desire whatsoever to be able to see. Sceptical? Listen to his explanation and he could almost make you believe he's lucky to be blind. The 31-year-old Mansuri, who is an Ayurvedic doctor who diagnoses ailments by feeling a patient's pulse, argues, "Your concentration decreases by 50 per cent when you can see because you get distracted by everything around you." So, he adds, with an infectious laugh, "Believe me when I say I'm happy to be blind. It actually helps me in my work."

Mrs. Hetal Gandhi, a married woman from Ishanpur, Gujrat developed deficiency which lead to loss of vision. By, 14th Decemeber 2003, she could see no more. She felt completely at loss with her two children.

After she had consulted doctors and specialist all over India, she was refered to Dr. Samir Mansuri by family friend.

When she learnt about Dr. Samir, she quized Dr. Samir, how would he treat blindess when he himself is blind. Dr. Samir sais to this "I am born blind, but you are not - keep hope!"

On 13th February 2006, began treating her with ayurvedic medicines and exercises... today she has regain 90% of her eyesight. 

Six years back a checkup at a hospital in Chennai had confirmed her vision as of 33% only. To this Mrs. Gandhi Says that "the thought of keep hope made it all possible."

What baffles us is that dispite the fact these personalitied can avial the best of the medical treatment, they still turn to Dr. Samir as he treats without any surgerical procedures.
